Athlete Luana Alonso Removed from Games for Disneyland Outing
Glamorous swimming star Luana Alonso has been kicked out of the Olympics after pulling out of a tournament at Disneyland.
Paraguay’s participation in the Paris 2024 Games ended when she failed to advance in the women’s 100m butterfly heats.

She said: “I’m very emotional because it was my last race. I’m retiring from swimming.
“I’ve been swimming for so long, 18 years, and I have so many feelings.
“Unfortunately, I decided to stop and I’m happy that my last race will be at the Olympic Games.”
Alonso, who competed in the Tokyo Games at the tender age of 17, insists she did not retire on a whim.

Reflecting on his failure to make it out of his heat, Alonso said: “It didn’t go the way I wanted.
“I sincerely apologize to Paraguay, but I did what I could, despite what happened to me before.
“So, I’m happy and excited to retire here with a full stadium and finally have the Olympic Games.”
